Jonathan Harel

Financial Advisor

I started in the financial services industry in 1999.  I came straight out of Boston University with a degree in Economics and Mathematics.  I have always been fascinated by the stock market and how money compounds over time.  Ever since I was a little boy, my parents instilled on me to save at least 10% of whatever money I received.  Whether I put it in my piggy bank or, eventually, opening my first bank account.  This is where I learned about “paying myself” first.  This philosophy has stuck with me over the course of my life and, I too, try to instill the concept upon my clients.  By having enough set aside they can sleep well at night.  This is what I call the “sleep quotient”.    It also helps me sleep at night knowing that my clients have a solid foundation to handle any bump in the road.  I have spent the past 11 years with Charles Schwab.  While fulfilling, I felt that I needed more.  I decided to go the independent rout, something I had been considering for quite some time.  Having independence gives me the flexibility to provide truly unbiased advice by having client’s best interest in mind.

I am married to my wife Becky and have 3 children, Leila, Andrew and Lucy.  While I am not serving clients, you can find me at a cross country meet, orchestra concert or a color guard competition.  When I have a few minutes to myself, I enjoy running, biking and cooking, especially on my Kamado Joe grill.
